Stuff I bought recently: New yellow ipod headphones (WOOT WOOT!) and an HP6 movie poster (It's freaking AWESOME!)

Oh look! Sam actually lives!

Yes, yes. I haven't posted in forever. But if you know me, that is sooo not a surprise. I can't keep up anything I start.

I just felt that since I haven't blogged in God knows how long, I thought I should. And I had some stuff I could talk about.

ANYWAYS. Onto the days events.
So, I get up around 11:00 am. Yeah, I'm a late sleeper. I actually only got out of bed because I had to be somewhere at 11:30. Catholic Heart Work Camp, that is. It's this really awesome camp that goes all around the country (and Jamaica and Mexico I learned today) and kids come from all around the country to do service work in the town. Since they came to my city, I go with my youth group to help set up, tear down, and serve dinner all week. It's actually really fun and hopefully I'll actually get to travel and attend the camp next year.

So then after camp, I went to my G-ma's house to help her carry things downstairs to her new bookshelves my Dad built. So, I get there and she takes me upstairs and tells me to move all these binders on the shelves in her guest room. I knew that my Grandma was obsessed with my family's genealogy, but I had no idea exactly how obsessed she was.
I go to the bookshelf to start pulling off binders, and she has 6 and 7 inch binders! And there aren't just 2 or 3. No, there's probably at least 30 or more. All sizes, but there were probably at least 10 7 inch binders. I've never in my life seen binders so big. And they're FILLED. Almost to the point where stuff is falling out. She is freaking obsessed. She told me she wanted to write the entire history of our family. I love my Grandma.

I also found out that my Grandma likes to watch British mystery shows on Channel 9. I found that absolutely hilarious. I was watching some of it, and Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood in the first Harry Potter movie) is in one of her shows. And I heard the show mention someone named Mr. Snape. I laughed out loud at that.

Since I was bored and had finished moving binders, I decided to go through a photo album sitting on the chair next to me. I found out that almost the entire thing was just pictures of gravestones of my great-great-great grandparents and so on. Being a writer, I love weird names, so I pulled out a paper to write some down that I thought were cool or just downright weird and hilarious. Here are all the ones I wrote down:

Artemisia (I think I'll actually use this one)
Leolin
Etta
Nettie
Arminda
Evaline
Elsie
Adelaide
Elmore
Eva
Mertie
Icydora (who the hell names their child that?!)
Lillie (I liked the spelling)
Lucian (Reminded me of Lucius Malfoy from HP :P)

So yuppers. I loved these names and I'll probably use them in stories and what not. My fave was Artemisia though :D

Anyway, I think that's all. I'm off to bed and to read Harry Potter :D

Love love love,
Sam
